WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsibilities

What you can expect on a typical day:

  • Partner with UK business leaders and managers to build their people capability, plan and manage talent and develop approaches that achieve shared organizational objectives.
  • Manages recruitment and onboarding processes for UK employees.
  • Organizes office events (team building, lunch and learns, holidays).
  • Manages building maintenance processes and relationship with our vendor as needed (office repairs, rebuilds, improvements).
  • Informs North America HR team on UK regional updates, law/policy changes, employment law, and any relevant employee related compliance updates/concerns.
  • Partners with finance department on behalf of UK employees (promotions, merit/bonus, manager changes, title changes, etc.)
  • Advocate or UK employees. Keeping region current with company communications and support. Provides suggestions to the Director or HR and leadership on how to keep region engaged.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Analyze salary market data and trends to help with career pathing and retention.
  • Performs day-to-day performance management guidance to leaders (coaching, career development, counseling, disciplinary actions).
  • Compliance management (including GDPR).
  • Executing special projects as assigned by the Director of Human Resources and the Senior Leadership team.
  • Supporting the implementation of HR solutions and processes.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Developing and managing the company’s succession plan.
  • Creating and executing employee satisfaction surveys and exit interviews; recommends change and cultural enhancements to improve employee relations and retention.
  • Developing, recommending, and implementing personnel policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining accuracy of company and employee data in the HR System (including contractor entry for UK).

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Required Qualifications

  • Experience as a Human Resources Senior Generalist, Business Partner or equivalent preferably with a technology company.
  • Experience overseeing the implementation and management of an HRIS system.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
  • Strategic planning with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and strong operational focus.
  • Well-organized and self-directed with the ability to perform both high level planning as well as hands-on tasks when required.
  • Articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent team building and communication skills.
  • Training and coaching of managers and HR staff in how to handle and manage common business issues.
  • Facilitation and resolution of conflicts.
  • Experiences in managing a range of HR and administrative areas of responsibility including payroll, benefits, disability, employee relations, staffing, employee, and organizational development and required legal obligations.
