Are you ready to make a significant impact and drive change within a dynamic organization? We are recruiting an HR Business Partner to provide maternity cover for 12 months supporting our Insurance Division. This is an excellent opportunity to join us during a growth phase, shaping the future of our business in collaboration with leaders.

This role is office-based with a hybrid approach (3 days in the office), based in Basingstoke, Tunbridge Wells, or London, with regular travel to these sites.

What will I be doing?
  • Transformation & Change: Lead and shape significant change initiatives within the Insurance division.
  • Build Strong Partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with business areas to identify current and future people requirements.
  • Drive People Plans: Lead delivery of the people plan aligned with HR strategy.
  • Consultancy Services: Provide expert advice on reward & recognition, organization design, employee relations, succession planning, talent management, change programs, performance management, employee engagement, TUPE, acquisitions, and training & development.
  • Influence Best Practice: Promote HR best practices and effective people management.
  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with leadership teams to influence thinking, challenge, and identify opportunities to add value.
  • Enhance Engagement: Contribute to strategies to reduce attrition, improve engagement, and increase retention.
  • Effective Communication: Maintain proactive communication with employee representatives and union officials.
What do I need?
Capability, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Proven experience in generalist HRBP roles, ideally within a large blue-chip organization.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and experience influencing business change.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of employment law.
  • Successful delivery of HR initiatives within budget and timescales.
  • Experience managing union relationships.
  • Knowledge of regulated environments (SMCR, FCA).
  • Ability to steer organizational change and outcomes.
Education and Qualifications
  • Professional CIPD Qualification (essential).
