HR Assistant - Belfast - FTC 9-months

MCS is excited to announce an opportunity to join a leading charity located in Belfast, looking for an experienced and motivated HR Assistant to join their organisation for a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will report to the Head of People and will play a key role in delivering value-led and efficient HR support across the employee lifecycle.

Role & Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating recruitment processes from advert to offer
  2. Supporting onboarding and offboarding
  3. Maintaining HR records and generating reports (e.g., sickness absence)
  4. Providing confidential support in HR matters
  5. Supporting wellbeing and engagement initiatives
  6. Assisting with HR audits, surveys, and process improvement projects
  7. Being flexible to support wider HR functions with various tasks

The Ideal Candidate

  1. Experience in a similar HR role
  2. CIPD qualified (Associate level)
  3. Confident working in a fast-paced environment
  4. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
  5. Flexible - happy to help out beyond core HR duties when needed
  6. Friendly and approachable, with great communication skills
  7. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HR systems is a bonus
