Job summary

Derwen College is seeking an organised HR Advisor to join the People Team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will manage recruitment, onboarding and provide guidance on performance, rewards and ER matters at a residential SEND college.

The role requires CIPD Level 5 and excellent communication, confidentiality, and IT skills. 36.25 hours per week with a Monday–Friday pattern and a professional, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• HR Advisor role experience with exposure to employee relations.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
• Strong organisational, communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment, selection and onboarding of colleagues
• Supporting managers with performance, reward and recognition
• Provide timely, accurate advice to manage an employee relations caseload
• Identify, plan and implement L&D opportunities
• Identify, plan and implement staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives
• Maintain awareness of current employment law & best practice
