Job summary

TeacherActive Limited seeks an experienced Human Resources Advisor to join the HR team. You will provide expert advice to managers across the College, supporting the Workforce Strategy with a proactive, solution-oriented approach.

The role covers absence, grievances, recruitment and safeguarding compliance in a busy environment. The ideal candidate holds a CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience, with strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification/experience.
• Significant experience in a HR advisory or generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling complex employee relations casework.
• Excellent communication, influencing and organisational skills.
• Customer-focused, proactive and solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance issues.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding for your assigned areas.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment law.
• Contribute to HR projects, staff development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support compliance with safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements.
