Job summary

Truro & Penwith College is seeking an experienced HR Associate to support colleagues across the College, helping attract, develop and retain exceptional talent while ensuring an excellent employee experience. You will join a proactive HR team, coordinating recruitment, providing HR guidance to managers and staff, and contributing to wellbeing initiatives and policy improvements across the organisation.

CIPD Level 5 and 3+ years in HR are expected, with strong employment-law knowledge and MS

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 Diploma in People Management is required.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in HR, recruitment, and employee relations.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and HR compliance.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees
  • Support employee relations matters, including absence, capability, disciplinary and grievance cases
  • Ensure HR systems and records are maintained accurately and efficiently
  • Contribute to staff wellbeing initiatives and employee engagement projects
  • Help shape and improve HR policies, processes and practices across the College.

  • Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications
