Job summary

Study Group is seeking an experienced HR professional on a temporary basis to support a range of people-related projects and employee relations across directorates, with hybrid/remote working from Brighton Head Office. You will provide HR advisory support, manage an ER caseload, and ensure records and compliance with policies and employment law.

The role involves supporting consultation activity, attending meetings, guiding managers on disciplinary, grievance, probation and wellbeing matters,

Qualifications

• Professional HR qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with disciplinaries, capability, probation and grievance processes.
• Experience delivering HR advice in line with procedures.
• Experience handling an assigned ER caseload.
• Knowledge of UK Employment Law legislation.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned employee relations caseload including disciplinary, grievance, and probation matters.
• Conduct Occupational Health referrals and implement recommendations with managers.
• Support managers to manage performance during probation periods.
• Provide guidance on flexible working, wellbeing, and family-friendly policies.
• Advise on legislation and internal policies; ensure compliant procedures.
• Maintain accurate case records and documentation.
• Schedule consultation meetings and issue correspondence.
• Attend consultation meetings, both individual and collective.
• Provide support and guidance to managers; take accurate notes.
• Distribute notes for review and finalization for records.
• Respond to employee queries and signpost to appropriate support.
