Job summary

Southdown Housing Association in East Sussex is seeking an HR Advisor (People Advisor) on a fixed-term contract for 4 months. The role offers hybrid working with a minimum of three days per week in our Lewes office and a salary of £34,800 per year.

You will deliver practical HR advice to managers, handle ER cases (sickness, attendance, conduct, probation), contribute to policy development, and support changes under the Employment Rights Act. CIPD Level 5 or active pursuit is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in employee relations and handling attendance, capability, and conduct cases.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with managers and colleagues.
• Experience with investigations and maternity/ statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice to managers and staff.
• Manage HR matters including sickness, attendance, capability, conduct, grievances, and probation.
• Support policy development and implement Employment Rights Act changes.
