Job summary

Alkegen is seeking an HR Advisor to deliver proactive HR services to managers and colleagues at UK facilities. You will report to the HR Business Partner and manage day-to-day HR activities, employee relations caseloads, and support organisational change while travelling regularly between sites.

The role is a 12-month FTC designed for an experienced HR professional who can work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and drive a positive employee experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a HR Advisor or generalist HR role.
• Strong Employee Relations experience with handling complex casework.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting multiple sites or remote teams.
• Excellent investigation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across UK locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice to managers on Employee Relations matters including disciplinary investigations, grievances, absence, performance, flexible working, capability and appeals.
• Conduct workplace investigations and prepare reports with recommendations.
• Ensure ER matters are managed fairly and in line with law and policies.
• Act as HR contact for queries across multiple UK locations.
• Coach managers on people management best practice and recruitment activities.
• Support organisational change initiatives and workforce planning.
• Promote employee engagement, wellbeing and retention and uphold company values.
• Maintain HR records, support reporting, and manage documentation through the employee lifecycle.
