Job summary

The Business Connection Group is seeking an HR Advisor for a 14-month maternity cover based at their UK headquarters on the Wrexham Industrial Estate. The role supports managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle, delivering a practical and approachable HR service.

Responsibilities include employee relations, absence management, recruitment, onboarding, engagement, learning and development, HR administration, and policy improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience at HR Advisor level in manufacturing or fast-paced environments.
• Knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance).
• Experience in recruitment and onboarding.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisation and ability to manage priorities.
• Confidential handling of sensitive information.
• Proactive, willing to engage across HR agenda.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HR advice to managers on a wide range of people matters.
• Support disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct and performance matters.
• Assist with investigations and preparation of documentation.
• Ensure employee records are confidential and compliant with UK law.
• Monitor absence and support return-to-work discussions.
• Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities.
• Support learning and development and HR projects.
• Support policy and process improvements.
