Job summary

Alchem Partners are recruiting a HR Advisor to join a privately owned HR consultancy based in Bury. You’ll support a varied client base with practical HR guidance across employee relations and employment law, working within a friendly, experienced team.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule ( typically 09:00–17:00 ) with a salary between £30,000 and £35,000 per year, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays and Christmas week off. Flexibility on hours is available with zero out-of-hours work.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 3 qualification or above.
• Experience in HR Assistant, HR Coordinator, HR Officer or junior advisory role.
• Hands-on exposure to employee relations and HR casework.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proactive and approachable.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, professional HR advice and support to a varied client base.
• Assist with employee relations matters including absence management, disciplinary procedures, performance management and probation reviews.
• Offer guidance on maternity, flexible working and other HR issues.
• Manage HR administration and casework, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Communicate with clients via telephone and email, and support employee-facing meetings virtually (return-to-work interviews, exits).
• Build relationships with clients and support day-to-day HR requirements.
