Job summary

TeacherActive Limited in Cambridge currently seeks an experienced Human Resources Advisor to provide expert HR guidance across the College. You will work with managers to resolve employee relations issues and help deliver the Workforce Strategy.

The role requires CIPD qualification or equivalent, strong employment law knowledge, and proven advisory experience. You will handle recruitment, onboarding, and maintain HR records, with occasional travel to Huntingdon.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or equivalent HR qualification/experience.
• Significant experience in a HR advisory or generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling complex employee relations casework.

Responsibilities

• Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and performance issues.
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding for your assigned areas
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with employment law.
• Contribute to HR projects, staff development activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate HR records and support compliance with safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements.
