Job summary

Quanex is seeking an HR Advisor to join our Denby team in the UK. You will act as a trusted advisor for HR queries, provide expert guidance to managers and employees, and help implement HR policies while ensuring legal compliance.

You will lead employee relations, support engagement and wellbeing, and assist in onboarding, probation, and lifecycle activities. The role requires CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) and strong communication across all levels.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) or equivalent HR qualification.
• Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience managing employee relations casework independently.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and experienced with HRIS systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent at building and developing relationships at all levels.
• Demonstrable resilience and forward planning skills.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Flexible to work the continental shift patterns.
• Experience of working in a Manufacturing environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a first point of contact for HR queries and provide timely guidance.
• Ensure legal compliance and support policy implementation.
• Manage employee relations cases through to resolution.
• Support engagement, wellbeing and positive workplace culture.
• Assist with onboarding, induction, probation and employee lifecycle.
• Collaborate with HRBP and HR team on people initiatives.
• Maintain GDPR-compliant employee data and HRIS records.
