Job summary

A leading HR consultancy is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their busy team in Winchester. The role involves providing high-quality support and guidance on employer relations, managing a variety of HR cases, and collaborating with senior colleagues. This is a fixed-term contract of 6 months with competitive working conditions and opportunities for professional growth.

Job description

We're seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a busy team providing HR & Employer Relations advice and support to external organisations.

Responsibilities
  • Providing an efficient, well-organised, and responsive HR service with guidance and support for employer relations cases.
  • Acting as a positive ambassador for the HR team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services.
  • Spending approximately 2 days on the HR Helpdesk handling calls and emails, often being the first contact for managers on employer relations casework.
  • Handling your own caseload of ER cases, including sickness, absence, ill health, retirement, redeployment, and others (circa 18-20 cases at a time).
  • Collaborating with Senior HR Advisors.
Candidate Requirements
  • Experience with employer relations casework, such as absence management and sickness, preferably in high-volume environments.
  • Ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of employment law.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to provide operational advice on employee terms, conditions, and HR policies.
Offer Details
  • 6-month fixed-term contract.
  • Minimum 1 day per week (preferably 2 days) in Winchester near the train station.
  • Working hours: 9-5, with 9-4.30 on Fridays.
  • 37 hours per week.
  • 25 days holiday.
