Job description

IPRS PFAS is an independent provider of quality medical assessments using a network of specialist health practitioners based in various clinics, mostly around the Southeast of the UK. We are currently hiring a HR Advisor for a permanent position. The main purpose of this role is to serve as the first point of contact for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, working closely with the existing team to deliver a knowledgeable, consistent, and timely HR service to PFAS colleagues, Line Managers, and Senior Management.

Position:
Main job duties:
  1. Influence, support, coach, and advise managers on various people management matters, including investigations, disciplinary processes, performance management, absence, and capability issues.
  2. Collaborate with departments in a consultancy role to help line managers understand and implement HR policies and procedures.
  3. Manage employee relations casework, including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals, ensuring conduct aligns with company policies and risks are minimized.
  4. Handle absence cases, including long-term absences, liaising with third-party practitioners and occupational health to support employees back into work, and advising managers on necessary adjustments or support.
  5. Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with line managers, employees, and stakeholders.
  6. Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, review survey results, identify focus areas, and create action plans.
  7. Assist in implementing training plans, creating career pathways, and supporting organizational change initiatives such as acquisitions and TUPE.
  8. Maintain HR systems, handle employee queries promptly, and provide reports on HR KPIs and analytics to support continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Essential qualifications & training:
  • At least two years of experience as a HR Assistant or in a similar role.
  • 4 GCSE/O level passes A-C, including English and Maths, or equivalent.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or current study towards it.
Experience and knowledge:
  • Experience working within a HR department.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR databases.
  • Good understanding of employment law.
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive data.
Skills and abilities:
  • Experience in employee relations, HR practices, and employment law interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.

Passion for delivering high-quality service, continuous improvement, and self-development. Willingness to travel within assigned areas, perform well under pressure, and challenge existing cultures when necessary. Capable of compiling and interpreting statistical data and communicating findings professionally.

Other information:
  • Salary: £35,000 per annum
  • Location: HYBRID - OPUS PARK (IP6 0FU) / HOME
  • Job Type: PERMANENT FULL TIME
  • Hours: 40 per week
  • Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 17:00
