Job summary

Blue Oak Recruitment is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a manufacturing site in the North West. You will act as the HR contact for employees and managers, delivering a hands-on generalist service across ER, recruitment, training and payroll data accuracy.

Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you’ll work autonomously at site level, building strong relationships while balancing the demands of a busy operation. CIPD Level 3+ is required, with travel as needed.

HR Advisor - Manufacturing

Salary: £30,000-£35,000 | North West

If you're an experienced HR Advisor who enjoys the variety of a true generalist role, likes being close to the operation and wants the autonomy to make a real difference, this could be a great opportunity.

We're recruiting for a well-established, multi-site manufacturing business looking to strengthen its HR team. It's a busy, hands-on environment where no two days are quite the same, and you'll have the opportunity to get involved in pretty much every aspect of HR.

Reporting to the Group HR Manager, you'll be based at one of the company's operational sites, acting as a trusted HR contact for both employees and managers. You'll have the support of an experienced wider HR team, but equally, you'll be trusted to manage your own workload, offer sound advice and make confident, well-informed decisions.

It's a genuinely varied role. One day you might be supporting a manager through a complex employee relations issue or conducting an investigation, the next you'll be helping to recruit and onboard new employees, identifying training needs or working on initiatives to improve engagement and retention.

You’ll also play an important part in supporting performance management, developing people processes and ensuring employee information is accurate and up to date for weekly and monthly payroll.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has at least 3-4 years' experience in a generalist HR role.
• Holds a CIPD Level 3 qualification or above.
• Is confident handling employee relations matters, providing practical advice and supporting managers.
• Can balance the demands of a busy operational environment while remaining approachable, fair and professional.
• Enjoys building relationships and being a visible, proactive part of the business.
• Holds a driving licence and is happy to travel if required (not frequent)

Experience within manufacturing or a similarly fast-paced operational environment would be a real advantage, although it's your generalist HR experience, confidence and ability to build relationships that will make the biggest difference.
