Job description

I’m partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation to recruit an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join its busy manufacturing site in Kirkham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment and wants a role where they can genuinely influence, coach and support managers while contributing to the wider people agenda.

You’ll work closely with the HR team and operational leadership, providing a high-quality HR service across the site and supporting the delivery of both day-to-day people priorities and broader strategic initiatives. HR Professional Partner

The Role

As Senior HR Advisor, you’ll build strong relationships across the manufacturing operation, becoming a trusted point of contact for managers and colleagues.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing advice, guidance and coaching to managers across a broad range of people matters
• Supporting and managing Employee Relations casework
• Coaching managers around performance management and employee development
• Supporting Employee Relations and Union matters to achieve positive outcomes
• Contributing to change management initiatives and wider HR projects
• Supporting employee engagement plans and initiatives
• Working closely with the wider HR team to deliver the People Strategy
• Supporting workforce and succession planning
• Using people data and insight to help inform decisions
• Building strong stakeholder relationships across the site
• Helping to drive positive culture, behaviours and continuous improvement HR Professional Partner

About You

We’re looking for an experienced HR professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys being visible within the business.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Exposure to a unionised workforce would be particularly advantageous
• Good working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
• Experience supporting organisational change
• Strong coaching and stakeholder-management skills
• Confidence working with HR systems, processes and people data
• CIPD Level 5 would be advantageous, although it isn't essential HR Professional Partner
