Job summary

Anderson Knight, partnering with a well-established Glasgow-based organisation, seeks an HR Adviser to join a supportive HR team. This generalist role spans two sites, partnering with senior leaders to influence people initiatives, engagement, development and employee experience.

You will provide practical, commercially-focused HR guidance, coach managers on policies and employment law, and contribute to the People Plan while handling ER matters and broader HR projects.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR Adviser experience required.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Confident coaching managers in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Balance employee needs with commercial objectives.
• Experience supporting employee relations matters.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience using HR systems and producing management information/reporting.
• CIPD qualification or working towards it is advantageous; UK driving licence is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR guidance to managers across a range of people matters.
• Coach managers on HR policies, procedures and employment law.
• Support employee relations cases including investigations, disciplinary, grievances and capability processes.
• Manage short and long-term absence cases with a supportive approach.
• Collaborate with Occupational Health and other stakeholders.
• Support business change and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to local people plans and employee engagement activities.
• Assist with policy development and implementation.
• Support management development and capability-building initiatives.
• Build relationships across multiple sites and leadership teams.
