Every day our teams help people in businesses and communities to do what is right and achieve their goals. People Advisory is an internal-facing consultancy team whose purpose is to deliver a people experience aligned with the people strategy, the firm’s purpose, and its strategic goals. The team’s aim is to create an environment that enables our people to thrive, do their best work, take shared responsibility, and deliver exceptional client service.

This means doing what’s right ahead of what’s easy. The work you do has a major impact on our people, clients, and our firm. We pride ourselves on the high standards we maintain.

We’re happy to discuss flexible working and consider reduced hours and job shares, supporting you to balance work and life.

About the role

You will be part of a flexible team supporting the business on people lifecycle activities related to performance, talent, and reward. You will guide and coach people managers in managing their teams effectively, including handling performance concerns, absence management, investigations, and disciplinary cases. Supporting Senior People Advisers and People Advisory Managers, you will help deliver our people strategy, initiatives, and the annual people experience cycle.

Given the importance of this role, there will be exciting opportunities for the right person to expand their knowledge and develop their skills.

Ideal candidate

Experience within a generalist HR function working with large client groups.

Supportive experience with employee relations activities such as absence management, capability, investigations, and disciplinary processes.

Proficiency in Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and presentation.

Strong stakeholder management and adaptive communication skills.

Examples of supporting people managers with initiatives that positively impacted their teams.

Additional desirable skills include experience in large, complex organizations, collaboration in service line structures, delivering inclusion and diversity initiatives, and owning people processes like salary reviews, performance moderation, and talent management.

Your impact here can extend beyond your role, including secondments, fundraising, and supporting entrepreneurs worldwide. Our values—Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect, and Responsibility—guide us to do the right thing for our firm, clients, people, and society.

We seek individuals eager to contribute, innovate, and exceed expectations—those who are proud to do what’s right for everyone involved.
