Education Personnel Services are looking to appoint an HR Adviser to our Hampshire Team.
If you are looking for a more rewarding and challenging HR role where you can make a real difference to children’s education, then come and join our Education Personnel Services where your support can help schools improve. We pride ourselves in delivering a high-quality HR advisory and consultancy service to over 700 Hampshire and Oxfordshire schools.
Primarily you will provide guidance and support to headteachers, senior leaders and governors directly through the management of individual employee relations casework and through our Helpdesk Service. You will contribute to the practical resolution of matters ensuring that employment decisions have regard to the needs of the school and take account of legislative requirements, relevant policies and procedures, and good employment practice.
You will be studying towards or have a Certificate in Personnel Practice or have relevant experience to be able to provide high quality and timely advice on specialist or generalist HR issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will ensure that you have the confidence to advise and with support you will be able to identify a range of risk-based options and provide sound HR advice to our schools.
Excellent IT skills and time management are essential for accurately recording customer interactions on our databases and monitoring customer feedback.
As part of the role, you will be required to support our Helpdesk Service, with the remaining part of the week managing your own casework.
This position will be based in Winchester. Our new ways of working across the County Council provide colleagues with the flexibility of working from both the office and home, with the expectation of working in the office once a week supporting the Helpdesk Service and as and when needed. There is a requirement of travel with this position and you will be expected to visit our schools in person as required.
