Job summary

Whistl in Marlow is seeking a diligent HR Administrator to support payroll, recruitment, and employee records. You'll work with managers across the business, ensuring accurate data and timely processes while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

This role offers hybrid working with occasional travel to other UK sites, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours. The successful candidate will be highly organised, discreet with sensitive information, and capable of delivering right-first-time results.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of HR administrator experience.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident with all levels of staff and discreet handling of sensitive information.
  • IT skills including HRIS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • HR & payroll admin: maintain employee records and process changes.
  • Recruitment support: tracking candidates, onboarding documents, contracts.
  • Absence management: track absences and support managers with documentation.
  • First-line HR support: respond to queries and advise on basic employee relations.
  • Systems & data management: keep reporting systems updated for accurate data.
  • Projects & policy work: assist HR projects and refine processes.

Join our team in Marlow as an HR administrator and play a key role in delivering efficient and accurate support across recruitment, payroll, employee records, and more.

This role offers hybrid working opportunities with occasional travel to other UK sites. You'll work closely with managers and staff across the business, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently while contributing to a positive workplace culture.

About the Role
What You'll Be Doing:
  • HR & Payroll Admin: Accurately maintain employee records, process changes, and support monthly payroll activity.
  • Recruitment Support: Candidate tracking, onboarding documents, contracts, and compliance checks.
  • Absence Management: Record and track all types of absences, supporting managers with documentation and processes.
  • First-Line HR Support: Respond to HR queries, guide managers through basic employee relations matters, and support policy updates.
  • Systems & Data Management: Keep company reporting systems and tools updated to ensure accurate data and insights.
  • Project & Policy Work: Contribute to HR projects and help refine processes in line with best practice and legislation.

Requirements
What We're Looking For:
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar HR administrator position
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and a 'right-first-time' approach
  • Excellent communication skills - confident with all levels of staff
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a flexible, can-do attitude
  • Strong IT skills, including HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable
  • Confidence to suggest process improvements and solutions
Additional Info
  • A full UK driving licence is required, and occasional overnight stays may be necessary for travel to other sites.
  • Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs per week - occasional additional hours may be required to meet deadlines or support busy project periods
  • A hybrid working pattern following the training period.
