Job summary

Mears Group is looking for a Housing Support Officer to join our expanding team in the Northeast region. You will support asylum seekers through their Home Office right-to-work process with practical and emotional support, safeguarding, wellbeing monitoring, and accurate record-keeping for compliance.

You will manage a portfolio of homes, coordinate move-ins/outs, and work with internal and external partners to ensure appropriate housing support, while meeting KPIs.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Support asylum seekers throughout their application process, ensuring welfare and safeguarding needs are met
• Provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families
• Identify needs and put in place support packages to promote independence
• Carry out risk assessments and maintain accurate records for audits and compliance
• Coordinate move-ins, move-outs, voids and inspections
• Work with internal teams and external agencies to ensure appropriate support is in place
• Travel between sites as required
