Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Housing Officer for a 6-month contract with hybrid working in Nottingham. You will manage a caseload of general needs tenants and properties, ensuring effective tenancy and housing management and handling tenancy issues, breaches, ASB, safeguarding and tenancy sustainment.

You will administer rent arrears, liaise with tenants to agree repayment arrangements, supporting vulnerable tenants, carry out tenancy visits and inspections, signpost to welfare and support

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of general needs tenants and properties, ensuring effective tenancy and housing management.
• Deal with tenancy issues, breaches of tenancy, ASB, safeguarding and tenancy sustainment.
• Manage rent arrears, working with tenants to agree repayment arrangements and taking legal action where required, including preparing cases and attending court for possession and arrears cases.
• Carry out tenancy visits and inspections, identifying and resolving issues at an early stage.
• Provide advice and support to tenants, including signposting to relevant welfare, financial and support services.
• Liaise with internal departments, external agencies, local authorities and legal representatives to resolve housing-related issues.
• Ensure accurate records are maintained and all actions comply with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Provide a professional, customer-focused service while managing challenging situations and supporting vulnerable tenants.
