Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd seeks an experienced Housing Officer to join a busy team in the West Midlands. You will manage an allocated caseload of residents and deliver high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management services.

You will carry out tenancy visits, inspect estates, handle rent arrears and ASB, and escalate safeguarding concerns as needed. Collaboration with authorities and partner agencies is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, tenancy management, or social housing.
• Experience managing a caseload and dealing with complex customer issues.
• Knowledge of tenancy management, rent arrears and ASB.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and working with vulnerable residents.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• The confidence to deal with challenging situations and difficult conversations.
• Good IT and case management skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential tenancies from sign-up through to termination.
• Conduct tenancy visits, estate inspections and tenancy audits.
• Manage rent arrears, tenancy breaches and tenancy sustainment.
• Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases.
• Identify and appropriately elevate safeguarding and vulnerability concerns.
• Support residents with tenancy-related issues, welfare benefits and signposting to appropriate services.
• Work closely with local authorities, police, social services and other partner agencies.
• Take appropriate enforcement and legal action where required.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service and contribute to improving local communities.
