Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting for a Housing Officer to join a well-established housing provider on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid, managing a patch across Telford, delivering full tenancy management services and supporting residents with excellent customer service.

You will work to maintain sustainable tenancies, handle ASB cases (low level), and build positive relationships with residents while meeting performance targets.

Qualifications

• Experience as Housing Officer or tenancy management role.
• Understanding tenancy management legislation and housing best practice.
• Experience managing ASB cases (caseload expected to be minimal).
• Excellent communication, organisation and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage workload and work independently.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Managing a designated housing patch and providing a high-quality tenancy management service.
• Carrying out tenancy visits, sign-ups, and end-of-tenancy processes.
• Supporting residents to sustain their tenancies and resolve tenancy-related issues.
• Managing low-level ASB cases and neighbour disputes where required.
• Investigating tenancy breaches and taking appropriate action.
• Working with internal departments and external agencies to support residents.
• Maintaining accurate records and updating housing management systems.
• Delivering a customer-focused service while meeting performance targets.

This is a hybrid working role, managing a housing patch across Telford. You'll be responsible for delivering a full range of tenancy management services, supporting residents, maintaining sustainable tenancies, and ensuring excellent customer service across your patch.
