Job summary

The Cumbria County Council is recruiting a Housing Technical Officer for the Allerdale House, Workington area. This temporary 12-month role provides specialist technical and case management support across the west and south Cumberland area, including inspection and assessment for Disabled Facilities Grants.

You will prepare costed schedules of works, specify grant-aided items, liaise with contractors, lead stakeholder meetings, monitor performance and sign off works to enable payments.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist technical and case management support across the west and south Cumberland area.
• Inspect and assess properties to facilitate Disabled Facilities Grants per Occupational Therapist recommendations.
• Prepare costed schedules of works, specify grant‑aided items and liaise with contractors on behalf of customers.
