Job summary

The Housing Service within Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council seeks a Housing Technical Support Officer to support delivery of customer-focused services and provide clean analytical data and business intelligence.

Key duties include managing the Housing Technical Support Team, ensuring smooth financial processes (rent review, BACS, benefits, lost payments, reconciliations) and delivering business support in collaboration with colleagues.

Qualifications

• Minimum A Level (or equivalent) Maths, English and Computer Sciences/ICT
• At least 2 years experience in an IT or Finance environment

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the Housing Technical Support Team.
• Ensure the smooth delivery of all financial processes within the Housing Service including the annual rent review, BACS processing, Benefit entitlements, investigating lost payments and ensuring they are reconciled.
• Provide effective business support for colleagues across the service, working in partnership to understand their needs and deliver support and solutions that help to deliver on shared business objectives.
• Involvement in projects which will implement new technology, new business process and change the way people work across the whole Housing Service.
