Job summary

Gloucester City Council is seeking an experienced Housing Team Leader to oversee frontline homelessness services under Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996. You will manage a team delivering assessments, prevention and relief work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring person-centred, trauma-informed support.

The role requires confident leadership, strong legal understanding and the ability to balance competing demands while maintaining governance, service quality and staff wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experienced housing professional with strong knowledge of homelessness legislation.
• Experience managing staff in frontline statutory service.
• Ability to lead and coach team members to grow in confidence, resilience and skill.
• Confident handling high-risk casework and performance issues.
