Job summary

The Council in Enfield seeks an experienced Housing Coordinator to manage the day-to-day delivery of statutory homelessness services. You will lead a team of Housing Coordinators in the Resident Contact Team or Relief and Move-On Team and ensure high quality information, advice and casework.

The role includes assessment duties, policy adherence and performance review. You will oversee prevention and relief duties, homelessness assessments and defend possession proceedings where needed, driving

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of current and emerging housing legislation and case law related to housing advice issues.
• Experience in deciding homeless applications in accordance with Housing Act 1996.
• Ability to plan and maximise use of resources and manage a budget effectively.

Responsibilities

• Promote development of the Councils behavioural competencies and attitudes.
• Ensure effective use of allocated resources to deliver outputs.
• Ensure equitable work allocation and clear contribution from team members.
• Develop performance expectations and ensure staff understand how they are measured.
• Ensure staff have access to necessary technical knowledge to deliver outputs.
