Job summary

Ashberry Recruitment is seeking Housing Support Workers to support clients in South Yorkshire and surrounding areas on an Adhoc basis. The role involves assisting vulnerable individuals with housing-related needs in sheltered housing, dispersed tenancies and supported accommodation.

You will conduct needs and risk assessments, support residents with welfare rights, budgeting, employment and education, and liaise with housing agencies to secure move-on accommodation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults or young people.
• Experience with housing-related support is desirable.
• Ability to work in hostel environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing-related support to clients in sheltered housing, dispersed tenancies and supported accommodation.
• Carry out needs and risk assessments for referrals.
• Support tenants with resettlement plans and welfare rights.
• Liaise with housing agencies to source move-on accommodation.
• Maintain health and safety records and ensure policies are followed.

Ashberry Recruitment are currently looking for several Housing Support Workers to work in the South Yorkshire and the surrounding areas.

You will be working on an Adhoc basis (As and when), with the opportunity to discuss any contract positions available, as and when they arise.

As a Housing Support Worker, you will be providing housing related support to clients within sheltered housing projects, dispersed tenancies and supported accomodation

Some of your duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

• Supporting vulnerable young people or adults with the following needs: Drug and Alcohol Misuse, Sexual Exploitation, Domestic Violence, Mental Health and homelessness.
• Working as part of a small team
• Carrying out client needs and risk assessment for all referrals
• Supporting tenants through individual resettlement support plans
• Working in a number of different Hostel environments
• To ensure clients comply with their tenancy agreement
• Supporting clients with welfare rights, budgeting, employment, education, and training
• Liaising with all relevant housing agencies to find suitable move on accommodation for tenants
• Develop links with the local community
• Ensure communication systems are accurately maintained and up to date
• Maintenance of the Health and Safety incident and accident records
• To be aware of and work within agreed organisation policies and procedures

Requirements for the role:

• Enhanced DBS Check (A check will need to be carried out if no current DBS is in place)
• Full UK Driving Licence and Car (Ideally but not essential)

Hours

This can vary from part-time to full-time hours, on a Adhoc/casual basis.
