You will provide person-centred housing support to residents in supported accommodation, managing a caseload of 20-25 people and liaising with community services to promote positive outcomes.
The role requires working on-site and in the community, with a rota that includes days, late shifts and weekends.
We’re working with a well-established charitable organisation providing supported housing and community support to adults across Derby.
They are looking for a Housing Support Worker to join their team and provide person-centred support to residents living in supported accommodation.
You’ll manage a caseload of around 20-25 residents, supporting them both within the residential service and out in the wider Derby community.
The residents you’ll be supporting may have a range of needs, including homelessness, mental health issues, drug and alcohol misuse, or experience of the care system.
We’re looking for someone with experience in supported housing, housing, homelessness, care or a similar support role.
You’ll need to be comfortable working with adults with a range of complex needs, managing a caseload and providing practical support to help people move forward.
The role involves working both on-site and within the community, so a driving licence is likely to be required.
You’ll also need to be able to work the required rota, including evenings and weekends.
An appropriate DBS check will be required, and being registered on the DBS Update Service would be necessary.
