Job summary

Vivid Resourcing Ltd is recruiting a Supported Housing Officer to deliver a high-quality housing support service on a 3-month contract. You will manage a caseload of residents with complex needs, liaise with authorities and agencies, and support tenancy sustainment on site, five days a week.

The role requires safeguarding and risk-management expertise, strong communication, and robust case management skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage a supported housing caseload and deliver housing-related support.
• Work with residents with mental health needs, asylum seekers, ex-offenders, and domestic abuse survivors.
• Complete support plans, risk assessments and safeguarding referrals.
• Support tenancy sustainment and address rent arrears and anti-social behaviour.
• Liaise with local authorities, probation services, health professionals and support agencies.
• Promote independence while ensuring safety and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate records and notes using housing management systems.

Job description

Role: Supported Housing Officer

Contract Length: 3 Months

Rate: £19-£22 per hour

Office Presence: 5 Days a week on site

The role

You will deliver a high-quality supported housing service, managing a caseload of residents with complex needs and supporting them to maintain their accommodation and achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a supported housing caseload and delivering housing-related support
• Working with residents experiencing mental health issues, asylum seekers, ex-offenders, and individuals affected by domestic abuse
• Completing support plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding referrals
• Supporting tenancy sustainment and addressing issues such as rent arrears and anti-social behaviour
• Liaising with local authorities, probation services, health professionals, and specialist support agencies
• Promoting independence while ensuring residents' safety and wellbeing
• Maintaining accurate records and case notes using housing management systems
• 5 Days a week on site

Essential experience

• Previous experience working as a Supported Housing Officer
• Proven experience supporting vulnerable client groups, including:
  • Individuals with mental health needs
  • Asylum seekers
  • Ex-offenders
  • Survivors of domestic abuse
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and support planning
• Excellent communication, resilience, and case management skills
