Job summary

Triumph Consultants Limited is seeking a Housing Solutions Officer – Advice & Assessment to join their Housing Solutions Service. You will help prevent homelessness by providing advice, carrying out assessments and supporting customers.

Contract is initially 3 months, working across Dewsbury and Huddersfield Hubs HD1 2YZ. Pay rate: £15.31 per hour PAYE, hours per week: 37, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation and housing-related benefits.
• Experience delivering frontline services in a busy, customer-focused environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation and mediation skills.
• Ability to support customers with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
• Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills to maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out homelessness assessments and make appropriate decisions in line with legislation.
• Provide housing advice and guidance to customers facing homelessness.
• Work to prevent homelessness through early intervention and support.
• Maintain accurate case notes and prepare clear letters and emails.
• Work with internal and external partners to support customers and arrange temporary accommodation where needed.
