Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is seeking a Temporary Accommodation Housing Officer for a 12-month contract in London. The role demands managing temporary accommodation, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting residents with tenancy and safeguarding concerns.

You will conduct inspections, handle tenancy issues, and work with partner agencies to promote housing stability within a fast-paced council environment. Hybdrid work pattern applies, with 4 days remote and 1 day in the office.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering frontline housing management services.
• Experience in temporary accommodation, homelessness, or social housing environments.
• Experience conducting property inspections and identifying repair issues.
• Experience managing tenancy/license breaches and ASB cases.
• Experience handling resident complaints and property-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a responsive, resident-focused housing management service.
• Be the first point of contact for residents and resolve inquiries promptly.
• Ensure residents understand and adhere to tenancy and license agreements.
• Support residents in transitioning to sustainable housing solutions.
• Conduct inspections of Council-managed and privately managed accommodations.
• Monitor property conditions and compliance with housing standards.
• Investigate tenancy breaches and take enforcement actions as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records to support investigations and reporting.
• Escalate safeguarding concerns per Council procedures.
• Coordinate with partners to improve services across temporary accommodation sites.
