Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Repairs Planner for a Stockport-area housing team on a 12-week temporary contract. The role is office-based in Didsbury, Manchester, and involves coordinating repair requests, inspections, and works while ensuring timely progress.

You will maintain records, monitor cases, and work with inspectors, contractors, and residents, aligning with statutory timescales and Awaab’s Law requirements. Candidates should be highly organised and capable of handling multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• Organised and detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
• Experience in administration or repairs coordination is preferred.
• Willing to learn housing processes including damp and mould procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage the repairs inbox and coordinate incoming repair requests.
• Raise repair jobs and schedule inspections and appointments.
• Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, residents and internal housing teams.
• Monitor repairs from initial report through to completion.
• Ensure actions are completed within statutory timescales and Awaab’s Law requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and update systems to progress and close cases.
• Identify delays or issues and escalate as needed.
