Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Repairs Planner for a well-established Housing Association in Cannock, focusing on coordinating and scheduling responsive repairs and maintenance across social housing properties.

You will work with operatives, contractors and internal teams to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales, maintaining accurate records and system updates. The role is office-based initially, with potential for one day from home after training.

Qualifications

• Social housing repairs planning experience is essential.
• Direct experience planning or scheduling repairs within a social housing environment is essential.
• Strong scheduling, coordination and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication with contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Good IT skills and experience with housing management systems.
• Reliable with a strong employment history and good references.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and coordinating responsive repairs and maintenance works across social housing properties.
• Managing operative and contractor diaries to ensure repairs are completed within agreed timescales.
• Monitoring outstanding repairs and proactively chasing updates.
• Liaising with contractors, operatives, surveyors and internal teams to resolve scheduling issues.
• Updating repairs and housing management systems accurately.
• Monitoring the progress of repairs and escalating any delays.
• Ensuring work orders, appointments and property records are kept up to date.
• Providing regular updates to relevant teams regarding the progress of repairs.
• Responding to changes in priorities and rearranging appointments where required.
