Job summary

Southdown is recruiting a Housing Assistant, Supported Living in Brighton to support property maintenance within our housing management functions and contribute to tenancy-related tasks across East and West Sussex.

You will collaborate with the Housing Officer, Supported Living and visit tenants in their homes, ensuring housing management duties are carried out effectively and with sensitivity. The role requires a customer-focused approach and a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using a database.
• Attention to detail, able to maintain accurate records.
• An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be paid for by Southdown.
• A full driving licence is essential along with access to your own car or a car insured for you for business use.

Responsibilities

• Manage property maintenance as part of housing management duties.
• Input into low-level tenancy management issues.
• Work with the Housing Officer, Supported Living and other teams.
• Visit tenants in their homes across East and West Sussex.
