Job summary

Southdown is seeking a new Head of Housing Operations to lead housing management and property services across the organisation. You will oversee repairs, compliance, tenancy sustainment, rent collection and lettings, driving continuous improvement and excellent resident services.

This senior role sits on the COO Leadership Team, translating strategic priorities into measurable outcomes and ensuring services are safe, compliant and customer-focused for hundreds of residents across East Sussex.

Qualifications

• Senior management experience in social housing or related environments
• Experience leading housing & property services teams
• Level 5 Housing (CIH) or equivalent qualification or willingness to work towards it
• DBS check paid for by employer and driving licence desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead Housing Services and Property Services managers to build a high-performing leadership team
• Use data and customer feedback to drive improvements and decision-making
• Drive a culture of customer focus, continuous improvement, and innovation
• Provide leadership to C-Suite and board with performance reporting
• Manage significant operational budgets and reinvestment programmes
• Ensure compliant, safe, resident-focused housing and property services
