Job summary

Southdown Housing Association is seeking a Housing Assistant for Supported Living in Brighton. The role focuses on property maintenance within housing management, and collaboration with the Housing Officer, Supported Living teams, and visiting tenants across East and West Sussex.

The position offers a permanent contract with 30–37 hours weekly and a salary of £26,587 per year. Office base in Brighton with travel, training provided, and DBS paid for by the employer.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
• Problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using a database.
• Attention to detail, able to maintain accurate records.
• An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, paid for by Southdown.
• A full driving licence is essential along with access to your own car or a car insured for business use.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the property maintenance aspects of housing management.
• Input into a variety of low-level tenancy management issues.
• Visit tenants in their homes across East and West Sussex and work with partners.
