Job summary

Fortem is recruiting a Planner to join the Stonewater Housing team in Hitchin. This fixed-term contract (9 months) focuses on coordinating and managing tradespeople, ensuring schedules run smoothly and service levels are met.

The role requires strong customer service and organisational abilities. The team handles repairs, maintenance, voids, and capital works, delivering projects across multiple sites with a commitment to quality and decarbonisation.

Qualifications

• Essential criteria: Previous experience in a customer facing role.
• Desirable criteria: Previous experience working in a Planning, Customer Service or Call Centre role.
• Desirable criteria: Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Allocate work to trades people within given time scales.
• Resource work efficiently by being aware of tradespeople’s availability and knowing where they are at all times.
• Promote and maximise 1st time fix.
• Monitor and report service delivery issues to senior service controller.
• Manage, move and reschedule jobs to ensure that service levels are met, minimise travel time and to ensure available resources for delivery.
• Produce client reports.
• Manage appointments and an appointment system.
