Job summary

North Yorkshire Council is seeking a Homelessness Prevention Support Officer in Harrogate to help deliver housing options and advice services. You will develop support plans for clients' assessed needs, and provide tenancy support in temporary and move-on accommodation, liaising with external agencies, families and carers.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing, homelessness or the support sector is preferred.
• Ability to empower clients to make informed choices.
• Excellent customer focus and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in delivering the housing options and advice service.
• Develop support plans for clients' individually assessed needs.
• Provide tenancy support for clients in temporary and move-on accommodation.
• Liaise with external agencies, families and carers as required.
