Job summary

West Suffolk Council is seeking a Housing Assessment Coordinator to join the Housing Options team in West Suffolk. The role focuses on discussing housing options with customers, performing initial assessments, and coordinating liaison with statutory and voluntary agencies.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with the general public.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Team player with collaborative approach.
• Understanding housing law and policies.
• Knowledge of housing options and homelessness is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial assessment of customers' housing circumstances.
• Advise and liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies on housing issues.
• Be the first point of contact for housing options discussions.
