Job summary

A Surrey-based Local Authority is hiring a Housing Advisor to join their frontline team. The role involves acting as the first point of contact for residents, providing face-to-face and phone advice, triaging enquiries and supporting duty services.

The ideal candidate has experience in housing, allocations or homelessness and strong customer service, with training and support to develop Housing Options knowledge, plus potential for hybrid working in the future and a rate of £27-£29 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a housing environment.
• Knowledge of housing registers, allocations or housing advice.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Keen to learn and develop within Housing Options.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for residents.
• Provide advice face-to-face and over the phone.
• Triaging enquiries and supporting duty services.
• Assist with housing register applications.
