Job description

Salary: Up to £51,208 per annum

Location: Worcester

Basis: Permanent, Full Time

Are you passionate about making a difference and improving our Neighbourhoods? Do you have experience leading teams to make a real difference?

We're looking for an inspiring Housing Operations Manager to join our established Worcester team. You'll lead a passionate group of Neighbourhood Officers and Localities Operations Coordinators, driving great performance and ensuring our customers receive the best possible housing service.

Why does this role matter?

This role is all about leadership, collaboration, and making a difference. In this role, you'll lead a team to deliver high-quality tenancy and neighbourhood management services across our Localities Portfolio. You'll be responsible for day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance, safety, and customer satisfaction. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to support sustainable communities and improve service delivery.

You'll play a vital part in maintaining compliance with housing legislation, safeguarding standards, and operational excellence — ensuring that every customer interaction reflects our commitment to quality and care. You'll work alongside other Operation Managers across the Group to ensure there's consistency in your approach.

What could you be doing as Housing Operations Manager?

You'll manage performance, and risk, whilst driving innovation and continuous improvement. You'll also respond to complaints and enquiries, lead on audits, and contribute to strategic projects. This is a visible leadership role where you'll model our values, promote collaboration, and help shape the future of our housing services.

You'll work closely with Property Care and other teams to deliver seamless services across the localities model — helping to create safer, better-connected communities.

Your week will be varied: from supporting your team with complex tenancy cases, to leading meetings in our Central Park office, to building relationships with key partners such as local authorities and the police. The role brings the opportunity to work with other community groups, bringing together strategy and operational objectives.

Where is this role based?

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to work regularly in our Worcester office to work alongside your team and wider Platform colleagues. The rest of your role will be a mix of working on patch with your colleagues or working from home. You will also have a strong geographic and socio-economic knowledge of Worcester and a willingness to learn about the area you'll be supporting in.

What are we looking for from you?
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams, driving performance, and supporting staff wellbeing and development.
  • Strong knowledge of housing law, tenancy management, safeguarding, and community engagement, with the ability to apply this in practice.
  • This role involves regular travel.Adriving licence and use of your own vehicle or alternative means of getting to the required locations is essential. You will also ideally be based in Worcestershire.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, able to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels.
  • Organised and resilient, capable of handling multiple priorities across a wide geographical area and using technology to improve service delivery.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent (e.g., CIH Level 4 or CPD).
  • Passionate and solution-focused leader, committed to delivering outstanding housing services and motivating teams to achieve positive outcomes.
What are some of our great benefits?
  • Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave
  • Family friendly policiesincluding generous Paternity, Maternity, Shared Parental and Adoption leave plus 3 days paid Urgent Domestic Leave
