Job summary

Sanctuary Housing Association, based in Birmingham, is seeking a Housing Officer to join the West Midlands Housing team. The role covers Birmingham, Solihull and Sandwell, with duties delivering high-quality tenancy services and engaging with residents.

The position is temporary for up to 6 months, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, offering a salary of £34,235 per year plus a £600 car allowance (pro rata).

Qualifications

• Proven experience in housing/tenancy services.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
• Good understanding of tenancy regulations and safeguarding policies.
• Fluent English in written and spoken form.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality housing management and tenancy support to tenants and leaseholders.
• Respond to enquiries, resolve tenancy, service charge and occupancy issues.
• Build positive relationships with residents and involve them in service improvements.
• Regularly visit properties to maintain safe, well-managed homes and communal areas.
• Coordinate with partners to ensure safeguarding and financial wellbeing support.
