Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to join a Devon-based provider on a temporary basis. You will manage a patch of about 400 properties, mainly in Dawlish, with flexibility to cover other areas as required. The role demands proactive tenancy management and strong resident-focused service delivery.

You will handle nuisance and antisocial behaviour cases, work independently, and travel between properties with a valid driving licence. Start date 2 November 2026, approx.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Housing Officer or similar housing management role.
• Strong practical experience in tenancy and estate management.
• Experience managing routine nuisance and antisocial behaviour cases.
• Ability to manage a substantial housing patch and prioritise competing demands.
• Proactive, organised, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full, valid driving licence and ability to travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day tenancy management across a patch of approximately 400 properties.
• Carry out estate management duties, primarily within the Dawlish area.
• Provide housing management cover across other areas of the housing stock as required.
• Manage routine nuisance, neighbour disputes and antisocial behaviour cases.
• Investigate and respond to tenancy-related issues, taking appropriate action to resolve concerns.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support services on complex antisocial behaviour cases, including injunctions or court proceedings.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure housing management issues are dealt with promptly and professionally.
• Support the delivery of a consistent, resident-focused housing management service throughout the assignment.
