Job summary

Loreburn Housing Association seeks a Housing Officer to manage a patch of homes and deliver a generic housing management service, including tenancy and estate management, lettings, rent accounts, and tenant engagement. The role supports tenants to sustain tenancies and works with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.

You’ll work from home with regular regional travel to patch locations across East Dumfries & Galloway, attending meetings and training.

Qualifications

• Tenant-focused approach and commitment to excellent service.
• Good organisational skills and IT proficiency with Microsoft packages.
• Ability to build trust and develop positive relationships.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and confident handling of difficult conversations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patch of homes and provide generic housing management services.
• Cover tenancy and estate management, lettings, rent accounts, tenant and community engagement, tenancy enforcement.
• Deliver excellent services to tenants and support to sustain tenancies.
• Build relationships with tenants and local communities; handle enquiries and issues.
• Coordinate with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
• Contribute to well-maintained, safe, sustainable neighbourhoods.
