Job summary

Cambridge Housing Society (CHS) is seeking a Housing Officer for General Needs, based at Histon with hybrid working (minimum 1 day per week on site) and regular travel across Cambridgeshire. You will manage a patch of around 420 homes, building positive relationships with customers to create neighbourhoods you are proud to serve.

You will handle tenancy and estate management, maximise income, address anti-social behaviour, and work with partner agencies to deliver a responsive, customer-focused

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management and tenancy sustainment.
• Excellent time management and decision-making skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for work.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with customers and sustain tenancies.
• Maximise rental and service income and enforce tenancy terms.
• Manage anti-social behaviour cases with partners to achieve positive outcomes.
• Carry out tenancy visits and estate inspections.
• Collaborate with colleagues and external agencies to resolve issues.
• Ensure homes are let fairly and efficiently.
• Involve customers in shaping services and improve the customer experience.
• Prioritise workload and work with minimal supervision.
