Job summary

Hastings Borough Council is seeking a housing support role focused on managing households in temporary accommodation and ensuring placements are well managed. You will liaise with providers and colleagues to ensure clients are supported while longer-term housing options are explored.

Key responsibilities include managing placements, supporting benefit claims and arrears, conducting property inspections, and working with clients with complex needs to sustain placements where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing management or homelessness/housing options work.
• Strong communication and liaison skills with providers and clients.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and welfare of clients.
