Job summary

emh is seeking an experienced Housing Officer to support our communities across the North patches (Ilkeston and South Derbyshire). The role is community-based and combines on-site work with office and home-based duties, focusing on tenancy management, resident engagement, and delivering top-notch customer service.

You will manage a diverse workload, build relationships with tenants and partners, and help tackle local issues to create thriving communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing or housing role.

• Flexible, proactive and confident working in different environments.
• Experience managing tenancy or housing-related matters (advantageous).

Location/Base: North (Covering the Ilkeston and South Derbyshire area)

(This role is community based so out on site, and desk based with a combination of working from emh offices, community hubs and home)

Hours: 35 hours week, working Monday to Friday
Salary: £32,170 - £35,744 per annum (RFJ 6)

Role

As a Housing Officer, you’ll have responsibility for your own neighbourhood patch, giving you the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our residents. By building strong relationships, providing effective tenancy management, and tackling local issues, you’ll play a key role in creating thriving communities and delivering outstanding customer service.

You’ll enjoy a truly varied workload, working flexibly between locations, including community settings, emh offices, and home. No two days will be the same!

You will:
